Bravo is a Spanish restaurant in Sheraton Abu Dhabi, Corniche. You don’t have to go inside the hotel actually it’s in the Resort part at the back. Hence the parking is available outside and while dining you can enjoy free wifi access.
The restaurant has a romantic atmosphere because of the dim lights and a live performer on stage.
We were welcomed by Raju and lead us to our table which is nearby a mini stage where there is a live performance from an acoustic guitarist. Every Sundays and Fridays they have Eat All You Can offer though you can always opt also for a Ala Carte Menu. I wanted to check out their Recommended dish so I chose Ala Carte Menu and it will be easier for me too. They have served us a bread with pickled olives while waiting for the food.
I’ve started with Hongos Al’ Ajillo. This dish is a button mushrooms in a garlic butter and herbs on it crowned with sliced cherry tomatoes. Too much flavour in this and I love mushrooms. It’s a very good appetizer.
The Hamburger la Boqueria is a black angus beef burger with double patties, crunchy lettuce, juicy tomatoes, pickles, tetilla cheese and brioche bun. It’s way too high and you have to slice it in a smaller piece. The patties’ juices are overflowing while making a bite. A lip smacking one! Fries were placed as a side dish with the burger.
I ordered Paella Valenciana it’s one of the Chef’s Specialties. This took around 40 mins cooking time. Thought it’s good for 1 person but oh boy! Its for 2. Paella is made of spanish rice with chicken, seafood, fish, saffron and vegetables topped with some lemon. This dish is ultimately delicious and it’s a mix of everything. I tried it with a squeeze of lemon too and it’s much tastier. Though everything is mixed, for each ingredients you’ll get a separate taste of it. Awesome isnt it?
Just the song still lingers on my ears, while eating, the performer behind us, was singing a beautiful spanish song while playing his guitar. It makes the mood so romantic.
And for the dessert, Churros was there to sweetened the night more. It’s made of dough shaped to elongated one then deep fried. It’s rolled onto cinnamon and sugar. The chocolate sauce is a very good dip with it. Simply irresistible!
It was absolutely my first time to try Spanish cuisine and it made a very good impression on me. They even gave a gift to our son. A goodie bag that’s filled up with coloring materials that he used while we were eating. Staffs were very attentive with their guests and they always make rounds to make sure everything is ok.
Give them a visit with your family or friends. You’ll definitely love it.
