Extremely overwhelming staycation we had in Centro Sharjah (book here) last weekend. It is situated in the proximity area of Sharjah International Airport. It’s categorized as 3 star hotel and it provides you a luxurious, stylish and affordable stay.
We stayed in one of their Classic Studio Plus which is an upgrade of Classic Studio Queen. A difference of the size of the room from 33 sqm to 40 sqm. Staying in a studio inside the hotel was my first time too! So I was surprised and stunned with all the facilities inside the room. With my astonishment, I just kept on praising the hotel and wondering why it’s for 3 star only. Internet is good for 4 devices and we got it free with the package.
Bedroom: Fully carpeted along with the living room area. It’s having fully glass wall on one side covered with two layers of curtain. One is thin and the other is thick. You can enjoy the view outside especially in the evening and it’s having a beautiful greenish lawn view from the first floor.
It has a queen size bed with full mirror on the head board. Informative books were placed on one lamp table that can guide you for your visit in Sharjah and about Rotana hotels around the globe. On the other lamp table is the phone.
From there I learned that Rotana is environment cautious. They do have few reminder notes about recycling such as the calendar that was printed on a recycled paper and an advise of using the towel more than once. A reminder of non-smoking is there as well and all tables are made of marble.
Living area: The L-shaped sofa is very comfortable and relaxing while watching TV and chatting, with a marble center table. A separate arm chair was placed beside the sofa with a smaller stool where you can rest up your leg. A lovely abstract painting on the wall was hanged right above the sofa. The 32″ LCD TV is on a metal stand that can be rotated to left and right.
Kitchenette: From this part it’s not carpeted anymore. It’s a kitchenette with a long marble table attached to it and exactly above it are 2 stylish pendant lights. There’s cabinet, drawers, mini fridge, microwave and coffee and tea facilities with sink. Trash cans are placed in necessary areas.
Bathroom: Extremely surprised with the style of the bathroom. It’s beside the bedroom and it’s built with a sliding door. It’s a clean and neat walk-in shower with magnifying mirror, 2 glasses, tissue box, enough towels, soap, conditioner, shower gel, shower cap and sanitary bag. Can you notice what’s missing? I’ll tell you later if No. A bathroom phone and weighing scale is available too so we all went jump on it and checked. Result? Secret!
Dressing Area: A fully equipped fixed drawers and cabinet is provided for the guests. Iron with board, hangers, safe deposit box, a satisfying dressing table with its very big and clean mirror that you can see yourself full with a marble table. The hair dryer and laundry bags were placed on the drawers of the table.
The hotel is a 4 storey building and the restaurants and other amenities are all on the ground floor.
Restaurants: They have 2 restaurants namely C. Taste and C. Deli. C. Taste is bigger than C. Deli. In C. Taste we took our breakfast (timing is 6.30am-10.30am) and our dinner (timing is 7.30pm-11pm). Both are in buffet style and they have live cooking station. A spacious dining area with International Menu to accommodate everyone’s food cravings. Food is nicely cooked and prepared. You can request some quick dishes from the Chef in the cooking station. We’ve tried that during breakfast for some omelette, mash potato and paratha. Demanding? Hahaha! It’s enjoyable and comfortable eating in C. Taste.
C. Deli is a more of a Cafe/Bakery type for some relaxing time. It has some couches available outside too. It’s open for 24 hrs.
Recreation area: When we arrived there around 4pm and I just tried to check on their recreational area. It’s just straight after the front desk on the ground floor. There was a current sort of event going on in their meeting/event rooms. I went more straight and I found the reception area for this. You’ll find the Gym first which is just behind the reception and then the changing rooms for male (left) and female (right) with lockers inside. Inside the changing room, there is the back exit access going to the swimming pool. There’s a lifeguard watching over and you can take the towels from him. Shaded chairs and tables are available for resting. They also have a Gift Shop some sort of souvenirs that you can buy. I was not able to try but they do have sauna and jacuzzi too in the same area. All these you can access freely.
Above all, there’s a qibla on the ceiling to guide you where you have to face for prayer.
Some of the things that were missing are: You have to bring a toothbrush, toothpaste, and slippers. Bathrobe is not there too otherwise it’s not necessary.
Wish we could’ve stayed longer but weekend is until weekend only. It was a lavish stay and highly recommended place. Staffs are professional and well-mannered. Why don’t you take your family with you and have fun in Centro Sharjah like us? They have summer promotion going on. The Classic Studio Queen has a starting rate of AED299 exclusive of the taxes and other charges.
