In an island where everything shines, an island full of surprises and happenings and one of the top destinations in UAE that’s where you can find Centro Yas Island (book here). And yes! I’m talking about Yas Island itself.
We didn’t miss to experience to enjoy a summer family getaway before summer about to end. It’s a 3 star hotel standing next to it’s sister property Yas Island Rotana.
Upon check-in the process went smoothly just by showing our booking confirmation to the front desk. You’ll be given a key card which is your access not only to the room but for the elevator (going up only) and the door in the LG floor (going inside the hotel only) where the parking is.
Classic Queen Room:
We stayed for a night in one of their Classic Queen Rooms which was on the 6th floor giving us an exclusive nice view of DU Forum, the pool, sea view, tennis court and the road view. With the arm chair set near this window you can fully enjoy this spectacular views with a cup of coffee.
This room is perfect for a small family like us having a nearly 2yr. old naughty son. I even felt good when I saw a baby cot prepared next to our bed having an elephant-shaped towel in it. Seems like Hamza is special! Well actually I thought only him but of course me too! (haha!) Found some very useful personalised complimentary gifts on a table near to the arm chair. That’s the bluetooth speaker, very stylish usb, name tags, usb charger and a cd. Wouldn’t you love them?
Okay the room is also having a coffee/tea facility, mini fridge and safe deposit box. In a cupboard, you’ll get an extra pillow and hangers for your clothes. A big dressing mirror which has a drawer and you’ll find the hair dryer and some laundry bags inside which is facing the walk-in bathroom. For the bathroom almost everything is there for you just don’t forget to bring your dental kit with you or you can purchase it in the hotel too. Slippers in this room won’t be necessary since it’s carpeted starting from where your bed is.
It was high noon and we went to Yas Island Rotana for a brunch just by crossing the roundabout. CHOICES has prepared a sumptuous International Cuisine buffet type for brunch. While exploring out the dishes I bumped to the Head Chef, Chef Alan Snyman with his warm smile. I would like to make a separate review of this which you’ll find here Brunch at Choices – Yas Island Rotana
We’ll not end the day without trying out the pool. This is the only place that my father and son duo enjoys a lot with our staycation. So we head over to the pool, the way to this area is through a door which you’ll find in the elevator area. It will give you access to the gym if you go straight after the door. Tennis court is also available. Which you may have seen from my images above as included to the views from our room.
However you turn right for the pool. The pool is patrolled by a lifeguard wherein in his station you’ll get a towel and a swimming diaper for babies. I can see with the every splashes our baby makes with his hands and feet he enjoys the pool a lot. I left them for awhile to check out the restaurants inside.
C.TASTE is the place WHERE I EAT. Means it’s where people can find all delectable foods to relish. It’s next to the pool and its having tables outside so people can have a pool view. They usually have International cuisine for breakfast in buffet and Ala Carte Menu beyond that time.
Just beside it you’ll see C. MONDO it’s WHERE I DRINK. A cool place for people who would love to unwind with their favourite drinks while watching some sports or chatting with friends. You can opt to sit outside too and have a beautiful spots of neighbouring hotels. If you’ll go straight back to the lobby from there, you’ll cross the path of C. DELI it’s WHERE I SHOP. It’s where you can take all on the go stuffs.
After I got satisfied with my photography stuffs, I went back to the poolside. A lot of families enjoying especially kids, you can describe their enjoyment with their laughter and giggles.
Time passes by so fast when you just have to close your eyes and once you open them it’s another day to survive. I usually get our things packed and ready before we go for breakfast so that it will be easier afterwards. We headed back to Choices for a delightful one and to kick start our day.
There’s live cooking stations for the omelette and pancakes! I enjoyed watching them though I’m craving for my cappuccino already. Alright, so I found fresh juices on one table, fresh fruits in full and sliced ones. I can smell the newly brewed coffee going around the premises.
Some of the yum! yum! dishes below….
Looking back for a night we had there (while eating breakfast) was really worth remembering and spending with family. The best of all, it’s a place where you can unwind in a luxury type and affordable for summer. A place where you get the privilege to roam around (amenities) to their sister property Yas Island Rotana.
Though summer is about to end and it will be back to school soon, temperature still high. Visit them on weekends and have a wonderful staycation too with Centro Yas Island. You may check the price and availability on their website or book here and follow them socially for great offers in Facebook , Instagram and Twitter.
