After a long drive from here and there last Friday our last stop was in one of the great hotels in Dubai, Movenpick Hotel in JLT (Jumeirah Lakes Towers) in Nosh Restaurant for a mix of Brunch and Dinner. The restaurant is just straight after the front desk in the lobby.
They have an arabic style sofa set right outside the entrance of the restaurant which was a memorable area for me and I’ll tell you later why.
Nosh offers an International infused cuisine for everyone and every Friday they have brunch which starts from 12.30-10.30pm. Isn’t that kind of new for you? Because brunch usually ends at 4pm. A little difference with the menu though once dinner comes but sumptuous dishes continues until night. Of course Brunch will be the main and all other special dishes like live seafood cooking station and japanese will only be that time. However you can savour other new dishes during dinner such as the live tandoori cooking station, live ice cream making and the extensive desserts.
We were escorted by Sumit from the Reception and guided us throughout our dinner. Tables are at the end of the Hall of Buffet I may say. Because that’s how it appears and this gives a perfect way to showcase their delectable dishes properly. Buffet starts on your right side from the Reception area where the desserts and live ice cream station will catch your attention right away.
This is probably why Sumit gave me the chance to have the ice cream first while I’m at my stage of capturing moments. Chef Kasun, made an ice cream which is a mix of vanilla and strawberry on a frozen board which is on -95°C topped with cherries with syrup and chocolate chips placed on a cone. So I was enjoying this one while taking photos and meeting other chefs like Chef Patrick, Executive Sous Chef and Sous Chef, Chef Joseph. Though it was a busy night both of them were able to spare some time to talk for awhile with me. A great MOTIVATION for the team is indeed important for a day like this. Else who can imagine what will happen? It’s one of the keyword that Chef Joseph has told me and really I saw how busy the kitchen was. You’ll have a view a part of their kitchen which is next to the dessert station.
For dinner what I saw on the buffet was, they have variety of cuisines that you can choose from like Maki and Miso soup stations, Tandoori Live cooking station, Indian and Arabic cuisine area, fresh salads, Cold Mezze, Dimsum Station, Bread and Cheese stations, Chocolate and Milk Fountain station, extensive Desserts station (kudos to the Head Pastry Chef, Chef Saman) presentation is so instagrammable, Live Ice Cream station, and some other main dishes like Beef Brisket and Red Snapper with Cous Cous, steamed veggies, etc.
All these are with immense taste and brimming with flavor. Everyone was enjoying the food and the restaurant is filled with people with their craving satisfied.
The good part of this also is that they have kids play area which is equipped with tables and chairs, some good toys and a television to watch their favorite cartoon movie. Our son enjoyed this area and we just let him play since it’s near our table. Nosh has beautiful abstract paintings on the walls with vibrant colors in different sizes. Nosh is a place for everyone especially for families. You can also have small celebration or even a gathering.
We had such a splendid time and wonderful dinner. I was outside already while taking some few more shots of their entrance when Chef Joseph arrived saying there’s a cake they have made for us. So I just sat down on the sofa outside and there he came with a very sweet surprise with Chef Prakash and Chef Vimal who made it. I was really touched and thankful especially it was done first time to us. It made a mark on my life.
