INVITED REVIEW: Know about Saffron Restaurant in Sharjah

I’m happy to have my 2nd food review for Sharjah. This time it’s Saffron Restaurant which is located in Majeira St. opposite to Animal and Bird market. Saffron offers Authentic Pakistani cuisine  and it’s having a upper floor exclusive for families as they call it Family Lounge.

Saffron is decorated with beautiful abstract paintings on the wall. They do accommodate guests in groups which you can use their private rooms if you wanted to. They have 2 private rooms which can accommodate 10-15 people and 4 small rooms for 5-6 people. They have 2 lower tables as well which when you seat nearly on the floor. If you’re up to small celebrations they can let you use the 1st floor by combining the tables. All these are available in the 1st floor and I’ve observed everything is neat and new. Although it was opened since October 2015. Very well maintained!

Big private room
Small private room
With lower table and seats (majlis style)
Nice and clean washroom (available up and down the restaurant)

On the ground floor they have a viewable kitchen. You can see how the chefs are busy freshly preparing and cooking guests orders.

Ok so we seated in the family lounge area among the other families. We ordered one of their Chef’s Specials which is Saffron Mutton. I don’t have any idea of this just I went along with the restaurant’s name and I love mutton😝. Surprisingly, it’s full of flavour and it’s so creamy. The meat most importantly is soft and tender that it easily goes with a pinch with the help of the plain naan. We totally recommend this dish for you try!

I chose my favourite Fatoush Salad which didn’t fail my expectation as well. Fresh vegetables with full dressing and crowned with tamarind sauce. Delicious and crunchy!

Then I just requested for a sample platter of their barbecue which includes mutton, chicken, shahi and behari. This was served with 3 sauces such as chilli sauce, mint sauce and tamarind sauce. All are tender and juicy. Worth a try too.

For drinks I tried the Zafran Shake which is a combination of Dates, Mango and banana. Tasty and creamy. The Lemon & Mint is very refreshing which I understand now why hubby always chooses this. Lastly, the Ras Malai for dessert. Served cold and topped with crushed pistachio. Love it as always!

Saffron is along the road of Majeira St. just have to be clever enough to look for a parking in this area else opt for valet parking. This is absolutely recommended for everyone and as I mentioned families are very welcome and well treated. Staffs are awesome and by the way we’re thankful to Zaheer for patiently attending us especially our son.

**Changing table for babies available, highchair, take away service, valet parking, catering and food delivery

If you would like to know and see more of their delectable foods and offers, follow them online on Facebook, Twitter  and Instagram. Nothing would be much better to catch more of them by visiting their website .
