Thursday night means it’s Thursday Tagalog themed night in C. Taste of Centro Al Manhal, located nearby Al Wahda Mall, Abu Dhabi. C. Taste is in the first floor which you can either use the stairs or the elevator straight ahead from the lobby. You’ll be witnessing fantastic Filipino dishes and it’s where usually Filipinos will come in group for a feast. Well, that’s what I thought. However, I’ve seen other nationalities relishing this scrumptious buffet as well. This theme has been introduced last September 1.
There’s one area of the restaurant where you can have a nice road and city views while savory the delicious food prepared by Chef Venus.
In the center where the main course are, there’s a live cooking station for Stir Fried noodles handled by Chef Syed. You have 2 options for the noodles which is either egg or glass noodles mixed with fresh vegetables and yummy seasonings. I have requested for the Stir Fried glass noodles and it’s nice served with crunchy capsicums that made it colorful and mushrooms on it.
Cold mezze is a mixed of other cuisines. You’ll find hummus, fatoush salad, sushi, other salads, pickles, etc. I got excited with the dessert. Because it was long time ago since I had one. My favourite Biko was there. It’s made of sticky rice cooked in brown sugar and coconut milk. The Palitaw and Bilo Bilo that I missed for so long too, this gave me the chance to relish it. Bread station is also there nearby the staircase.
