INVITED REVIEW: The Art of Brunch in Movenpick Hotel – Bur Dubai

I love Fridays! Because Friday means Friday Brunch! And this time around we took the privilege from Movenpick Hotel in Bur Dubai. Friday Brunch is available in Fountain Restaurant and as they call it “The Art of Brunch” located on the lobby wherein a talented pianist will be playing beautiful music.

I always love it whenever we go in a place when they have kids play area (Kids Paradise) and not just a play area but they have their own buffet too like grown ups. So it’s a mini version of us brunching. It’s located straight down the hall beside the reception on the lobby. It’s a spacious room where they even have a Jumping Castle, a very very wide screen playing some cartoon shows, walls are decorated with the pictures of some famous cartoon characters, some games for little grown up kids and enough numbers of chairs and tables where they could eat properly. This is supervised with their own staffs.

Back to the restaurant, it’s an open-style restaurant. Their buffet is categorized with the main course, hot and cold mezze, bread station, korean cuisine with live noodles and sushi stations, oysters and mussels bars, waffle and ice cream stations and variety of desserts. It’s entirely international cuisines to sum it up.

The buffet package is included with either Fish and Chips or a Seafood platter. We opted for the Fish and Chips with this one and drinks for Virgin Mojito and Lemon & Mint.

The “Art of Brunch “is priced at AED 195 per person including soft drinks, or AED 295 per person, including house beverages. Kids below 12 years old may eat for free (up to 2 kids if above 6); those from 12 to 16 years will receive a 50% discount. You can make reservation here and press the Inquire button.

Food is being maintained and organized every now and then to make sure that it’s plenty enough for everyone. Chefs were in and out the kitchen for this. Staffs kept on going around the tables to attend any guest who’s in need of assistance.

I can say food is fantastic and I can see guests were enjoying their brunch just like us especially with those who have kids because they can just let them be in the Kid’s area. Someone even celebrated his special day that time and during this precious moments it’s indeed prominent for us to have a great place to have this done to make a remarkable and memorable moments.
