INVITED REVIEW: Blissful weekend staycation in Centro Capital Centre

With the busy life in UAE, it’s truly helpful to get some pampering and do some relaxation over the weekend. It helps a lot to regain your energy for the following week and remove stress from your body.

We got the privilege to spend a night in Centro Capital Centre (book here) a 3 star hotel yet very luxurious and elegant. Centro Capital Centre is located close to ADNEC (Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre) hence giving out a beautiful view of neighbouring buildings at night.

We got the Queen Plus Studio and it’s on a corner unit on a high level. Surprisingly it is somewhat a similar structure of the room we had in Centro Sharjah and so we definitely loved this room with the most captivating city view at night from our room!

Upon entering, the kitchenette is on your left which is equipped with drawers, mini fridge, a rectangular marble table adjacent to the sink with highchairs and elegant chandeliers right above it. A complimentary tea/coffee facility is prepared with 2 Rotana’s signature cups.

On your right side is a clean walk-in bathroom which is  equipped with necessary toiletries and you just have to bring your own toothbrush with you or you can purchase it on C.Deli Shop on the lobby. Enough clean towels are there as well.

The bedroom is connected with the living area and it’s carpeted from this point. The writing desk table is also made of marble and it’s placed on the living area. I love the color of the sofa, golden yellow, with colorful throw pillows as well. It’s matching with the abstract painting on the wall right above it, and it’s making the place lively!

On this area, the ceiling near the end corner of the glass wall you’ll find the Qibla (it’s ashame I was not able to get a photo of it because I actually wanted to take a pic at broad daylight but I forgot 😦 ) The LCD TV is standing near the fully glass wall. It’s placed on an iron stand and can be rotated. The bed is a queen size one with comfy pillows and blanket.

The cupboard is right next to the bed and it’s fully-equipped with safety deposit box, carpet for praying, extra pillow, hangers, iron with stand and a full mirror attached to one of the doors of the cupboard. Inside the drawers below the safety deposit box, the hair dryer is there and the laundry bags to the next one.

They have wireless phone in this room and a controlled temperature AC.

It was quite close to dinner when we reached the hotel. But still we visited the Recreational facilities on the 20th floor. Our mission? To make Hamza swim! Yes! It’s during this time our son enjoys a lot.

They have a reception area where you have to register for using the facilities and same place where you can request for a towel and a locker (lockers are inside the changing rooms). There’s a vending machine nearby it too where you can buy your drinks.

The gym is located after the changing rooms. It’s open 24 hrs and it has high quality machines that you can use. A drinking water is available and even a LCD TV hanged on one side. The floor has a wood finishing and it’s shining.

Now back to the reception, you’ll find the pool clearly outside it. Pool is open roof so you’ll enjoy viewing the twinkling stars on the sky and the sparkling lights of the other buildings. There are beach chairs and even a couch with center table on both sides of the pool. You can actually make an order and dine there. C. Deli will be serving you.

And so the time came, finally Hamza has reached the pool (this is an adult pool that’s why the lifeguard was strictly watching them 🙂 ). He went for swimming with his dad and as usual   I was there to watch over them splashing. It was indeed refreshing though I was just there roaming around the pool. Because the temperature has cool down and it was windy that night, the air brushing on my face made me relaxed.

Then finally, we went for the dinner in C. Taste. It’s the all day dining restaurant in the hotel. It was a buffet type offering an International Cuisine. It’s my 3rd time to be in this restaurant and I can say the food taste has improved and their selections of dishes are better.

Same place where we had our breakfast the next day. This time around, there’s live cooking station for Omelette and Pancakes! I love it! Toaster for your bread is also available. Loaded with healthy items and even cereals for kids were there.

The hotel has C. Mondo and C. Deli just like other Rotana hotels. C. Mondo is “where I drink” and C. Deli is “where I shop”. These are their taglines which briefly describes what they are for.

Other than this, there’s shuttle bus that you can use for going to Abu Dhabi Airport from the hotel and vice versa and to Yas Mall from the hotel and vice versa. The schedule for these will be found on the lobby just near the elevator. And by the way, when using the elevator you have to insert your room card key to be able to access it.

  1. Well, this actually is the ideal kind of room I want for a Staycation. But since I’ve never been lucky enough to go on such relaxing staycations, I’ve no idea of the prices. My husband is a boring kind of person, and he prefers staying at home and relaxing on a weekend, rather than spending time and money for all this. Hope to win such a staycation some day and take him out with me, so that he actually gets to feel how relaxing it can be… 😉
