After our extraordinary experience in Carnival by Tresind, we went to Tresind itself on the next day because they have launched their Winter Menu. They do live cooking serving also on some of their dishes just like Carnival by Tresind but on their own elevated way. Tresind is a mix of Tres in French which means VERY and Ind, an abbreviation for INDIA. So you’ll come up with a VERY INDIA. It is a modernist fine dining restaurant located on the 2nd floor of Nassima Royal Hotel with a spacious dining area and having different types of dining set-up for different kinds of guests.
Head Chef, Chef Zeeshan came and warmly welcomed us and introduced the Winter Menu by having 6 kinds of Starters and 6 kinds of Main Course. A kind of heavy duty meal isn’t it?
Well, I was stunned and excited at the same time. I’m in love with Indian food and I’m willing to discover more of it. And the journey started with Chef Heena‘s Deconstructed Pani Puri. Totally distinctive from the ordinary and usual one. How it was made? You’ll see it on the video later. The House Salsa Kadak Pao, Modernist Chaat Trolley, Roasted Babycorn, Patra Poda (Seabass Fish) and the Laal Maas were all served one by one after that and in between we got the Wild Mushroom Chai Soup and the Baked Buratta Salad.
I don’t want to missed mentioning the mocktails we got which were so refreshing and flavoursome. We got the Lavender Lemon and the Berry Blast. A must to try folks!
The main course started with the steaming hot fresh from the pressure cooker Chicken Stew. They served it with a bowl of rice, zaatar bread, some spicy and non-spicy papadam, other kinds of chips, yoghurt and then the Beerbal Ki Khichadi followed having 48 ingredients to mix altogether. It left us with a big awe on our face while being done live to our table.
Dessert came with no failure to amaze us as well. The Dolce Panna Cotta was brought on a smoky pot and it’s looking like a sunny side up fried egg on a bed of a bird’s nest. Well that’s the concept and it’s a yummy dessert! We got 3 more after that. There was the Ghewar Mille Feuille which has a pistachio mouse and rose sorbet on the side, Jalebi and Cotton Candy at the last sticking on the the plastic flower on top of the bus.
What a spectacular lunch we had! We were spoiled too much by Chef Zeeshan and I’m very much happy with all the dishes we’ve tried. It’s totally recommended place. I can remember even a child’s reaction during our visit who can distinguish the unusual way of serving. Have a look of the actual experience below:
