INVITED REVIEW: The Market Lunch in Al Safa in Metropolitan Hotel

Weather has been finally back to normal last Saturday and we were in Al Safa restaurant of Metropolitan Hotel this time. My recent review with them was from Don Corleone which you can read here: INVITED REVIEW: Has served you before and will continue to serve you now and even better They have launched a theme called Market Lunch that’s available everyday for AED75 from 12nn-3.30pm. It’s a buffet type serving International cuisine.

Al Safa is on your right side upon entering the hotel. It has an expansive dining place with an elegant interior. It has a very pleasant ambiance with the view of the road.

The buffet is decorated with fresh vegetables and spices and other food products according to their categories. It is actually because of the concept “Market”. A live cooking station is there for Pasta and Grills.

I started right off with pasta on a white sauce and some grilled fish, beef fillet and chicken burger on a brown bread.

I tried the Vegetable Soup (very soothing on this cold weather and creamy), Potato balls (tasty! ideal also for kids) and some salad after that. Thai Red Beef and Noodles, Oriental Rocca and Chicken Apricot and Almond salads are the ones I tried. I don’t normally try but I’m glad I did. They’re really rich in flavour and delicious. This is the healthy part of the buffet which we should indulge in more since there are lots of choices to choose from.

This place is perfect for any number of guests because it has a really spacious area and even a separate bar for beverages. The hotel has a ground level parking which you can go to directly if you want a proper and covered one aside from parking in front of the hotel which normally people do.

  1. Food definitely looks delicious. More than that I really love the way they arranged those variety of spices in glass jars. Very impressive
