INVITED REVIEW: A family stay in Jumeira Rotana, Dubai

Jumeira Rotana is a 5 storey building with 125 rooms with an amazing view of the city of Dubai. It’s 10 mins away from DIFC (Dubai Int’l Financial Centre) and DWTC (Dubai World Trade Centre), also close to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa thus making it favourable and ideal for business travelers and even family for holidays.

That was Friday when we visited for the weekend. Attending jummah prayer is not a problem at all. There’s a nearby mosque which is behind the Ghazal Mall and it’s walking distance from the hotel.

We checked-in a little bit earlier so it took a little time as they were still preparing the room. So we headed to Boston Bar for a brunch so that we don’t have to wait in the lobby.

Friday is also the day for Friday Brunch. Boston Bar is a sports bar where you can have a mix of American and British stuffs. However for the brunch, it’s an International cuisine where you can still indulge to your favourite Indian and Arabic food.

Although this is obviously a bar, for the brunch, kids are acceptable. They have a non-smoking area that’s just nearby the buffet table. Staffs are very attentive and active! Brunch starts from 12.30pm-4pm at the price of AED149-AED185 per head.

The time we’re done was also the time our room was ready. We had the opportunity to experience a family stay in one of their Premium Suites on the 3rd floor which is a corner unit. This gave us a beautiful sight of the amazing line ups of the skyscrapers of Dubai. Much more enticing at night when the lights are up. The suite has a very expansive carpeted living room. With huge soft super comfy sofa set and behind it is a writing desk table that faces the inspiring tall buildings.

It was my first time to see a gigantic wooden stand that has the big TV on it, the mini bar, complimentary tea/coffee facility and the fridge. On this area a separate washroom is also available which is near the entrance door.

Now in the bedroom (carpeted as well), Hamza was having fun jumping on the King size bed. And what I liked about this? It’s firm not soft to the point that you will sink once you lie down. It’s close to a medicated one. And since I was having a back sprain that time I felt lucky enough and thankful. Same goes with their pillows.

A 32″ inch TV is on this room and under the drawers of this, you’ll find the carpet for praying and Quran. A separate couch is placed nearby the window  for relaxation and right on the ceiling from there is the Qibla (direction for praying).

There are 2 cupboards that facing to each other nearby the bathroom. One is a spacious one for hanging your clothes alone with a weighing scale, slippers and extra pillow. On the other one, that’s where the safe deposit box is, shoe polish and sewing kit. Iron is by request from the housekeeping.

The bathroom is stunning! I love the finishing of the flooring it’s modernized and there are 2 sinks fully equipped with toiletries and not to mentioned Loccitane is included! The hair dryer is on this area as well that’s placed on the wall.

The bath tub with shower is very inviting for some dip soaking and Loccitane products are available too. Hamza was not able to resist and he jumped into this. Aside from that, there’s a walk-in shower as well and Loccitane is also within your reach. It’s a spacious bathroom you’ll enjoy spending some vanity time in there 🙂

A welcome treat came to our room with a special note too. I love receiving like this! Not all are doing this kind of thoughtfulness.

The opposite side of the suite is facing the prayer rooms for men and women by the way. I headed to the 5th floor it’s where the spa, gym and the rooftop pool are. I had my wonderful spa experience of the Softouch Spa which you can read here: INVITED REVIEW: Softouch Spa in Jumeira Rotana

There are changing rooms on the way to the gym. Inside a sauna room is available and locker rooms. The gym is equipped with high quality machines and with a drinking facility.

The pool has a bar near the door. During my attempt to view, to be honest I was not able to do it properly because guests were already enjoying some sunbathing after breakfast!

So yah, breakfast was done in Olive Oil restaurant. It’s an all day dining restaurant that serves food from around the globe. I noticed that they don’t ask your room number in this place which normally other restaurants in the hotels do. I guess breakfast is included for all guests.

I was craving for my cup of coffee right away to kick start my day. Th buffet serves light and healthy food from an American style to Arabic, from fresh fruits to cereals. For egg lovers you can request it on how you want it from the waiter and they will serve it on your table.

Well that ended our stay during the weekend in Jumeira Rotana. A 4 star hotel with great hospitality. A lot of promotions and offers will be coming up for sure since summer will hit very soon click here to book. So don’t forget liking and following their social media on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay updated and for some competitions to join.
