INVITED REVIEW: Softouch Spa in Jumeira Rotana

During our stay in Jumeira Rotana INVITED REVIEW: A family stay in Jumeira Rotana, DubaiI was filled with joy to get some pampering from Softouch Spa located in the 5th floor of the hotel. I treated this as an early Mother’s Day gift (1 day before the special occasion 😄)

The spa has 2 massage rooms with a visiting area (wherein you can have a sit and do some consultation first before proceeding). I was offered a Ginger Honey tea at first that was served hot and flavourful with a hot towel. A consultation paper was handed over at the same time for the therapist to analyse my health and body condition.

There are 3 therapists in the spa, 2 ladies and 1 gentleman. Jyothi from India was my therapist for that day. As I walked-in in the massage room, she explained to me where to placed my stuffs. There’s a cupboard inside the room itself where you can keep your clothes and other things. After that, I rang the small bell she gave me as a sign that I’m ready.

View when you faced down 🙂

The room is in dim light, bed is strewn with rose petals and temperature is adjusted properly which is suitable for the body while massaging and a very meditating music plays. There are 2 oils that you can choose from i.e. Lemon Grass and Lavender. I chose Lemon Grass this time since I had Lavender previously. I’ve done one of their Signature Therapies which is Thai Herbal Compress Massage. This is a combination of a normal Swedish massage (45 mins in total) and herbal bag compress (30 mins in total). She’s a very good masseur. The amount of pressure (medium) she applied is just the right one I preferred. She used the fingers, hands, palms, knuckles and even her forearms for this.

The herbal bag compress scent is so fragrant! Just imagine it’s a mixed of several herbals and I like each and every hot damp of this on my body. It makes me feel more relax also whenever this scent reaches my nose. This was done in 75 mins full body. I was relieved from the sprain I got on my lower back and I was totally rejuvenated and relieved from stress!

I was advised to keep the oil on my body for an hour before taking shower. And before leaving, I had a Green Mint tea this time while leaving my feedback to them. As a guest in the hotel you can call 043084359 or 0 from your room’s phone for booking. Otherwise email to softouchspa.jumeira@rotana.com opens from 9am-9pm.

Which is the best massage you had so far? Let me know on the comment below and maybe I haven’t tried it yet. Check their Facebook  and website to stay updated with their branches and exclusive offers! Don’t miss it….
